Technology consultancy · United Arab Emirates

Complex systems,
made tractable.

Solvidian Technologies FZE is a United Arab Emirates technology consultancy. We advise on IT strategy, design networks, and build the software that runs on computer systems and communication equipment.

Who we are

Independent advice, written down.

About the firm

Most organisations do not need a permanent Chief Technology Officer. They need one occasionally, usually at the exact moment a decision is expensive to get wrong. That is the work we do: senior technology judgement, brought in for those decisions and written down so it outlasts the engagement.

What we do

Six service lines, one standard of work.

Independent advice and hands-on engineering across strategy, networks, cloud, security, software and integration.

Practice areas

Three disciplines, one way of working.

Every engagement we take on sits in one of these three, and most touch more than one.

Practice 01

Systems & Communications Software Design

Designing the software that runs on computer systems and communication equipment, from device-level firmware interfaces to the platforms that orchestrate them.

Practice 02

Technology Strategy & Advisory

Independent advisory on technology strategy, architecture, cloud adoption, security posture and IT spend. Evidence first, and every decision written down.

Practice 03

Network Consultancy

Network architecture, design review, segmentation and performance engineering for campus, data centre, branch and hybrid-cloud estates.

How an engagement runs

Four stages, and you can stop after any of them.

No engagement starts with a proposal. It starts with a conversation about whether there is a problem worth solving, and if there isn't one we should be working on, we will say so at that stage rather than the invoicing stage.

01

Scope

A short, free consultation to establish what you actually need. If it is not something we should be doing, we will tell you at this stage.

02

Assess

Structured discovery against your estate: documents, configurations, data and the people who operate it day to day.

03

Design

Architecture, plan and cost model built in working sessions with your team, so the outcome carries internal ownership.

04

Handover

Deliverables walked through, documentation transferred, and an optional review cadence to keep the plan on track.

Why Solvidian

Four commitments we will be held to.

  • Fit before fashion. Technology choices are made against your requirement, your budget and the people who will run it, not against whatever the market is excited about this year.
  • Write it down. Every decision leaves an artefact: an architecture record, a scored matrix, a risk entry. Advice you cannot re-read is advice you cannot defend.
  • Senior people, directly. The person who scopes your engagement is the person who does the work. Nothing is quietly handed down to a junior bench.
  • Designed for handover. Success is your team running the result without us. Documentation and knowledge transfer are deliverables, not courtesies.
How we work

“We are hired for judgement, not for headcount. If a system is over-specified for what the business actually needs, we will say so before you spend the money, not after.”

Next step

Let's scope the problem before anyone quotes a solution.

A short, free conversation is usually enough to tell whether there is an engagement here. If there isn't, we'll say so.

At a glance

What a first conversation covers

  • What is actually happening, in your words
  • Which discipline the problem belongs to
  • Whether we are the right firm for it
  • Rough shape, effort and sequence if we are
